Lev Gershman has more than 15 years of institutional real estate experience including transaction and asset management, operations management and leadership. Prior to launching Tideline, he spent seven years at GE Capital Real Estate where he managed a $225 million portfolio of debt and equity assets, and was directly involved in $3 billion of workouts, asset sales, and bridge financing of middle market commercial assets across the western US.

An explorer, his first voyage was at the age of 12 when his family left the former Soviet Union, and as refuges made their way through Europe to find home in the United States. The experience and subsequent cultural assimilation taught Gershman to be a mindful observer with a heightened sense of awareness and an appreciation for the diversity of life. He travels the world extensively seeking out experiences in remote communities and multicultural metropolises.

Gershman volunteers on a number of non-profit boards, is a Trustee of the Urban Land Institute, Co-Chair of San Diego Small Scale Infill Development Council and Co-Chair of ULI NEXT Global. He received his Masters of Science in Business Administration Finance from San Diego State University and his Bachelor of Science from California State University San Marcos.
