Tideline Partners Starts Environmental Cleanup at Former Oil Refinery Site in Signal Hill
Tideline Partners started cleanup work at an approximately nine-acre former oil refinery site in the City of Signal Hill. Located just blocks from Pacific Coast Highway, schools, housing, and the City’s civic assets, the environmental cleanup represents the next step in a decades-long effort to remediate the site and improve the surrounding neighborhood.
The work is being advanced with the support and partnership from the City of Signal Hill and under the oversight of the Los Angeles Regional Water Quality Control Board.
“This is a meaningful milestone for the project and for the surrounding community,” said Lev Gershman, Founder and CEO of Tideline Partners. “Moving this cleanup from plan to action reflects the kind of work we believe in — taking a long-underutilized, environmentally challenged site and creating a path toward neighborhood improvement, environmental responsibility, and long-term community value.”
The former oil refinery site has remained vacant for decades. The start of site work marks a meaningful step toward addressing legacy environmental conditions and positioning the property for future reinvestment.
