Kensho
Smart growth, inspired by nature.
Project Details
Kensho is a ground-up multifamily development undergoing a discretionary entitlement process with coordination among multiple transportation, municipal and state transit agencies.
The project consists of four mid-rise residential buildings that total 180+ units and include two stories of structured parking. The project is a compelling example of smart growth, being situated on the edge of the downtown district and located within 1/2mi. of several public transportation options—earning it a Mobility Certification from Circulate San Diego.
The vision for the project is to promote wellness and connection to nature, which spurred the current name for the project. “Kensho” is a term from the Zen tradition where Ken translates to “seeing” and shō “nature”.
