Lev Gershman
Lev Gershman is the founder and CEO of Tideline Partners, with more than twenty-five years of real estate experience across structured finance, asset management, and development. Lev leads the company’s growth and impact by advancing a culture of doing well by doing good and building trusted relationships with capital partners, government, and community.
Prior to founding Tideline in 2013, Lev held senior roles at GE Capital Real Estate and Merrill Lynch Capital, where he managed more than $3.0 billion of financing and asset management and led his teams through the 2009 financial crisis.
Lev is a past Global Trustee of the Urban Land Institute, a member of the LAI Honorary Land Economics Society, the founding Co-Chair of ULI San Diego’s Small Scale Infill Development Council, and former faculty for the National League of Cities Rose Center for Public Leadership.
Lev came to the U.S. as a refugee from the USSR in 1989. While working full time, he earned his B.S. from CSUSM and his MSBA in Finance from SDSU. Lev lives with his wife and two children in San Diego and enjoys surfing and family adventures.
